CAD/CAM Design and Rapid Prototype Modeling

E.T.M. Industries is at the forefront of leading-edge technologies in design and manufacturing. Our in-house CAD/CAM engineers are experienced in working from concept to final design. The use of LOM (layer object models), also known as "rapid prototype modeling", allows for early fit and form confirmation. Our CAD/CAM systems interface directly with CNC programming for the development of tools and fixtures. Complete drawing package and design archiving is available to ensure your documentation remains compatible with your tools and fixtures.

Tools and Fixtures

One consistent strength of E.T.M. Industries is the knowledge and expertise we have in producing quality tools and fixtures. Time and again, we have proven that investing in these tools more than pays for their cost in the long run. We started our business as a tool and fixture manufacturer and still produce many tools for other customers. The capability to make our own tools and provide consistent quality has resulted in our ability to win large volume contracts from General Dynamics Canada, Linimar Corporation and Boeing Airplane Company.

CNC Machining

An extensive CNC machining division enables the fabrication of prototype, one-off, custom and high volume products. Clearly tailored to manufacture for the aerospace, automotive and telecommunications industries, ETM has produced such diverse products as arm rest supports for luxury passenger buses and high volume automotive components. We acquire and maintain the very best equipment, continually updating it and the skills of our people, keeping us on the leading edge of technology.

Plastic Injection Mold Tools

In response to the requirements of an automotive partner, plastic injection molding capabilities were added in 1988. As a result of our tools and fixtures expertise, we create our own plastic injection tools and molds, providing a significant advantage to our customers. First-off parts are promptly formed, meaning volume production begins earlier than industry norms, and our customer's products reach the marketplace faster.

Plastic Injection Molding

Positive growth enabled E.T.M. Industries to open a new 16,000 square foot plastics injection molding facility in October 1998. Structured to meet customer growth, we announced an additional 12,000 square foot extension of this facility in March 2000. This will combine our injection mold tool production with our molding operations. We have plastic injection machinery with capacities of 20 to 500 tons, providing our customers with a broad range of injection molding capabilities.

Fabrication and Assembly

E.T.M. Industries has its own in-house assembly and fabrication shop to complement our machining and injection molding shops. We order and process all additional sub-components, coordinate timely delivery, and provide our customers with the finished assembly. A total solutions approach means that customers can rely on E.T.M. Industries. Our diverse capabilities include the finishing touches, such as decorating—logos, designs and text painted on manufactured parts. Whether it's made of plastic, metal, or both, our value-added assembly provides a cost effective solution for our partners.
